PVN GROUPS Life-on-life discipleship is part of our DNA at PVN. Relationships matter here, and in a world that is so hurried, busy, isolated, and disconnected, we want to help you reconnect to others and God. There are three awesome ways to do that at PVN! GROW TOGETHER During the spring, fall, and winter months, PVN offers small groups for men, women, and mixed groups that range from topical classes on issues that affect families to groups that focus on biblical study. These groups are offered on a rotational cycle on Wednesday and Sunday nights. These small groups meet either at the church or in homes. Each group is a place of Connection, Discipleship, and Care. Plug into a transformational group TODAY! BIBLE STUDY The Sunday School program at PVN is designed to equip children and adults with the knowledge of God's Word. It is the "backbone" of the church and serves as an opportunity for people to engage with others while also forming relationships with smaller groups of individuals and families. Meeting at 9:45 am on Sunday mornings, classes are designed around age, topical instruction, and biblical truth. There is a class available for all age ranges. Come join us to experience the Word of God in a setting that is familiar and nurturing! SUNDAY SCHOOL Our mission is the Great Commission that Jesus gives in Matthew 28:19-20. The goals of a D-Group are to reproduce and multiply. This means we EQUIP disciples who have a solid foundation on the Word and SEND them out to begin their own D-Group (MULTIPLY)! All of our D-Groups follow the same agenda each week to fellowship while studying through the Bible in a 9-month to One-year time frame. These groups are a great way to explore the Bible and grow relationships with believers! We LAUNCH D-Groups in January and August, so get ready to take this important next step in your faith! At Pleasant Valley North, our music is celebrative and enthusiastic. It encourages people to praise the Lord and prepare our hearts for the Pastor's message. It is our desire in worship for each individual to experience God's love, joy, and peace as we praise His glorious Name. ABOUT PVN WORSHIP CHOIR & SPECIAL MUSIC We love blended worship at PVN! Because of that, we like to pull from the richness and wisdom of the past into our worship through hymns and traditional styles of worship. Rehearsal is on Wednesdays from 8:00 to 9:00 in the sanctuary. Directed by our Minister of Music, Jason Coffman, the choir leads our Sunday morning worship and provides special music! CONTEMPORARY Our blended worship style at PVN uses a lot of modern worship to help us connect with how the Holy Spirit is moving in the present and future. It involves seeking His presence through prayer, studying His word, and serving one another. Because we are made for connection, we need to do this with others, supporting them as well. Proverbs 27:17, John 15, 1 John 4:12 REACH Reaching people for Christ involves sharing the message of salvation, demonstrating God’s love, and leading others to a personal relationship with Him. As believers, we follow Jesus’ command to go and make disciples of all nations, spreading the Good News and helping others find eternal life in Him. Mathew 28:19-20 TEACH Teaching the Word of God is the divine responsibility of sharing His truth and love with others. Through Scripture, believers are called to spread the gospel, guide hearts toward salvation, and equip individuals to live out God’s teachings, bringing hope and transformation to their lives. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 OUR PURPOSE Sow seeds of change with us. PVN is involved locally through service projects, benevolence, sharing the gospel, feeding the hungry, mentoring in local schools, and partnerships with ministries like Good Neighbors, Restoration Rome, and the Salvation Army. We are also active on a broader scale through mission trips and disaster relief, backpacks for Appalachia, shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, and more. We support thousands of missionaries financially and prayerfully through the Cooperate Program, and we are helping plant churches through partnerships with national pastors in several countries. GLOBAL AND LOCAL MISSIONS No events at the moment We want to reach people for Christ, teach His Word, and disciple them in the faith. Our outreach ministry is called "GROW" which stands for "God Rewards Our Work." Many volunteers under the direction of Pastor Clyde participate in GROW through our Thursday night visitation plan and/or through letter writing and phone calling to prospects and new members in the PVN church family.
